PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION


       ST. MARY'S DOMINICAN SCHOOL believes that education is a process of transforming the young into holistic person, in preparation for his eternal destiny with the Creator.

VISION STATEMENT

       We envision an integrated, competent, and morally upright young man and woman who bear witness to the TRUTH in the service of God, country and fellowmen, especially the less privileged.

MISSION STATEMENT

       We participate in the process of social transformation by committing ourselves:

As a Filipino school - to contribute to the preservation and enrichment of our cultural heritage,                            traditions, and values amidst the emerging global society.

As a Catholic school - to nurture our Christ-like attitude and devotion to the Mother of God as we                      promote peace, work for justice, offer reconciliation and preserve God's creation.

As a Dominican school - to bring the THUTH wherever we may be, and profess to live the                                  Dominican spirit of STUDY, and SHARE with others the fruits of our lanor.                                        (CONTEMPLATAALIIS TRADERE)

Our mission will be realize through:
      -     the dynamic collaboration of administrators, faculty and staff, students, parents, and                             benefactors: and

provision for:

     -     innovative curricular and co-curricular offerings

     -     adequate facilities and services
     -     up-to-date technology; and
     -     networking with other educational institutions and agencies
