THE HISTORY

       Marian High School of San Manuel, Pangasinan was founded on June 28, 1948 by Rev. Fr. Jesus Chua Mendoza, the Parish  Priest of San Manuel. From this date it was administered by the parish with Fr. Jesus Chua Mendoza as the administrator assisted by a lay Principal to run the school until such time it was decided that the Parish Priest in 1995 - asked for Religious Sisters for the town of San Manuel. In 1995, the Dominican Religious Missionaries were invited and the first community which started in the school year 1956-1957 with 3 sisters - Mother Amada Sabater, O.P. RIP, as the Principal; the First Superior was mother Catalina Civit, O.P., and Sor Consolacion Ramos, O.P as the pioneers of this first foundation in the town

       A contract was made, giving the whole school to the Religious Missionaries of St. Dominic through its representatives and can stay in the lot or church owned (lot) land where the school is built as long as the Dominican Sisters are the ones running and administration and running the school.

       The purpose for which it is organized as:

       (a) to establish and maintain a Catholic School as an institution of learning dedicated to the harmonious development  of moral character, personal discipline, civic conscience, academic excellence, and vocational efficiency in their students, thereby contributing to the advancement of national socioeconomic development.

       (b) to promote the principles of a catholic education, general or vocational lay providing a basic and integral coherent and relevant education which contributes to the development of the human person in relation to his ultimate goals and likewise to the promotion of the good of the society where he/she belongs.

       It was recognized by the government on June 14, 1949.
